OCEN_HK delegation visited GZ Pearl River Hydraulic Research Institute

Project Coordinator Prof. Jianping Gan, led  his team, Ocean Dynamics and Modeling Program team (ODMP), to visit ​Pearl River Water Resources Commission of th Ministry of Water Resources in Guangzhou on 14 September 2018. 

Vice-President of The Pearl River Hydraulic Research Institute (PRWRI), Mr. Liangxin Li, started the meeting by introducing the history and development direction of PRWRI. Prof. Gan also breifly presented ODMP major research field and current on-going projects, including OCEAN_HK. 

Vice-Director of Sub-Institute, Dr. Bo Su and Assistant Chief Engineer, Dr. Shunchao YU also introduced two State Key Laboratories and Pearl River estuary Prototype Research Station under Ministry of Water Resources during the meeting.

The meeting had an in-depth disucssion on estuary research and potential colloboration between PRWRI and ODMP.
